A deck works best when it gives you a simple place to step out, sit down and use the garden more often. Reflect provides decking in Artane in timber, composite and PVC, planned around the back door, furniture, garden levels and the amount of upkeep you want.
Tell us whether you need room for a table, BBQ, seating or a better step from the house into the garden. We’ll measure the space and discuss the practical options.
Thanks — your Artane decking enquiry has been sent to Reflect.
No obligation. A few photos of the back door, garden and any existing deck help us understand the space before the visit.
Decking can create a practical area for everyday seating when the ground, levels or existing layout make that harder than it should be.
A properly planned deck can create a defined seating area instead of balancing furniture on uneven lawn or awkward paving.
Where levels change at the back door, the deck layout can be planned around a more comfortable route into the garden.
Loose boards, worn finishes or a poor layout do not always mean full replacement, but the structure should be checked before deciding what to keep.
The visit starts with the house, garden levels and how much room you actually need for seating and movement.
We measure the area, look at access and levels, and check any existing deck or hard surface that may affect the build.
We discuss furniture, steps, edges and how people will move between the house, deck and the rest of the garden.
Timber, composite or PVC, preparation, removal and agreed extras are set out in the written quotation before work starts.
Reflect can also quote gutters, patios, driveways, pergolas and exterior cleaning when the decking is part of a wider garden or property tidy-up.
Remove loose leaves, moss and debris from accessible gutters so rainwater has a clearer route to the outlets.
View gutter cleaning →Deal with loose brackets, leaking joints and damaged sections where a clean on its own will not solve the problem.
View gutter repairs →Power wash appropriate exterior surfaces where weather grime, moss or algae have built up.
View power washing →Clean suitable block paving, concrete or tarmac affected by everyday outdoor dirt and organic growth.
View driveway cleaning →Remove weather grime and organic build-up from suitable paving around the garden seating area.
View patio cleaning →See Reflect’s wider Dublin decking service for installation, replacement, repairs and restoration.
View decking Dublin →Plan shade or shelter around the deck where it suits the garden and the way you want to use it.
View pergolas →See the wider exterior and property-maintenance work Reflect can quote locally.
View Artane services →If the deck is only one part of the garden job, mention the other work when you enquire. We can look at it during the same visit and keep each item clear in the quote.

The layout matters just as much as the board choice, especially around doors, furniture, steps and the route through the garden.
The seating area should not block the route from the house or leave awkward gaps around steps and garden access.
Finished height and steps are considered from the start so the deck sits sensibly with the back door and surrounding ground.
Timber gives a natural look; composite and PVC can reduce some ongoing treatment. All still need sensible cleaning and care.
Preparation, removal, boards, rails, steps and other agreed items are written into the quote before the job starts.

Short answers on guide pricing, garden furniture, existing surfaces, material choice and planning.
Reflect’s guide prices start around €100/m² for timber, €110/m² for PVC and €120/m² for composite. A small deck around 15m² starts from approximately €1,800+. Final cost depends on size, ground condition, subframe, access, steps, rails, removal and preparation.
Yes. It helps to know how you want to use the space before the deck size is agreed. We can discuss furniture, circulation, steps and clearances during the site visit so the finished area is practical rather than simply as large as possible.
Sometimes, but the condition, levels, drainage and available height need to be checked first. We would inspect the site before recommending whether the existing surface can form part of the preparation or needs another approach.
Timber gives a natural finish and can be stained or oiled, but it needs more ongoing treatment. Composite usually needs less treatment and gives a consistent finish. Both still need cleaning, so the better choice depends on budget, appearance and upkeep.
It depends on the property, finished height, location and wider works. If there is any uncertainty, check current requirements with Dublin City Council before proceeding.
