A deck works best when it connects naturally with the house, lawn and the part of the garden you actually use. Reflect provides decking in Terenure for new installations, replacements and repairs in timber, composite and PVC.
Tell us where you want the deck, what sits beside it and whether you are replacing an old surface or starting from scratch.
Thanks — your Terenure decking enquiry has been sent to Reflect.
No obligation. Garden photos are useful for showing doors, paving, lawn, levels and anything the new deck needs to work around.
Terenure is an established south-Dublin suburb within Dublin City Council’s South East Area. We plan the deck around the space that is already there rather than forcing in a standard shape.
Decking can create a cleaner transition where the house opens onto grass, paving or a small change in level.
A measured deck can give a table, chairs or outdoor seating a defined area without swallowing the rest of the garden.
Where surfaces meet awkwardly, the layout can be planned around what stays, what is removed and how people move through the space.
We look at the garden first, then work through layout, material and the written scope.
We measure the space and check doors, access, existing paving, lawn and any level changes.
We discuss whether old decking or paving needs removal and how the new deck should meet the surrounding garden.
Timber, composite or PVC, plus agreed steps, rails and preparation, are written into the quotation before work starts.
If the deck sits beside older paving, gutters or another outside feature, mention it when you book the visit.
Remove loose leaves, moss and debris from accessible gutters.

Terenure sits in Dublin City Council’s South East Area, close to Rathgar, Harold’s Cross and Kimmage. Reflect takes decking enquiries across Terenure and surrounding neighbourhoods.
The best layout usually comes from understanding what is already around it — doors, paving, lawn, furniture and the route through the garden.
We look at how you step outside and where the deck should begin so the transition feels deliberate.
The deck is sized for its purpose rather than simply covering the biggest possible area.
Timber gives a natural finish; composite and PVC can reduce some ongoing treatment but still need cleaning.
Old-deck removal, preparation, steps, rails and other agreed items are included in the written scope.

Short answers on guide pricing, existing paving, material choice, cleaning and planning.
Reflect’s guide prices start around €100/m² for timber, €110/m² for PVC and €120/m² for composite. A small deck around 15m² starts from approximately €1,800+. Final cost depends on size, ground condition, access, removal, preparation and extras.
Yes, where the levels and condition allow. We can measure how the deck and patio meet, decide what stays and discuss whether cleaning or preparation is needed around the existing paving.
That depends on the look and upkeep you want. Timber has a natural finish and can be stained or oiled. Composite usually needs less ongoing treatment, although it still requires cleaning. We can compare both at the visit.
Sometimes. We first need to see the boards, subframe and surrounding structure. If the remaining deck is sound, a repair or partial replacement may make more sense than removing everything.
It depends on the property, finished height, location and wider works. We can flag planning considerations at the visit, but where there is uncertainty you should check current requirements with Dublin City Council or the relevant planning authority.
